**Srinagar, Jan 23 – In a landmark meeting, social activist and GBS News 24 reporter Farhan Kitab met with Rouble Nagi, a member of the National Commission for Minorities, to address pressing issues regarding the return and safety of Kashmiri Pandits. The discussion also explored the innovative “Misaal Mumbai” initiative, aimed at fostering community support and positive development.

During the meeting held in Srinagar, Kitab shared his insights and concerns regarding the longstanding plight of Kashmiri Pandits who were displaced from their homes due to conflict and socio-political unrest. “It is imperative that we create safe pathways for the return of Kashmiri Pandits to their homeland. Ensuring their safety must be a priority for us all,” said Kitab. He highlighted the ongoing challenges faced by exiled community members and the urgent need for government intervention to provide them with a secure and dignified return.

Rouble Nagi acknowledged the significance of combining advocacy with actionable strategies. She emphasized the role of various stakeholders, including government bodies and local organizations, in facilitating a successful repatriation process. “We must work together to create an environment of peace, trust, and mutual respect that welcomes back our Kashmiri Pandit brothers and sisters,” Nagi stated.

A significant portion of the conversation focused on the “Misaal Mumbai” initiative, which promotes inclusive social policies and development models inspired by successful community outreach programs seen in Mumbai. Kitab expressed enthusiasm for the potential of this initiative to not only revive the cultural essence of Kashmir but also improve the socio-economic conditions across the valley.

“The essence of Misaal Mumbai lies in its community-driven approach, bringing people together for a common goal of improvement and unity,” Kitab added. “This initiative can become a blueprint for programming our local resources effectively, which will also act as a magnet for displaced communities to return to home.”

This collaboration marks a vital step forward in addressing the complex issues surrounding the Kashmiri Pandit community. Both Kitab and Nagi agree that advocacy, combined with action and resources, can create lasting solutions that benefit marginalized communities in Jammu and Kashmir.
