Srinagar, Jan 14: On behalf of the Jammu & Kashmir Government Employees Conference and the Non-Gazetted Employees Welfare Association (NGEWA), SKIMS, chaired by Mr. Ishtiyaq Beigh, we extend a heartfelt appeal to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Chief Minister, Chief Secretary, and Director SKIMS to urgently address the long-pending issues faced by the hardworking staff of SKIMS.
The Nursing Officers, Material Management Staff, Lab Staff, and other supportive personnel have been the backbone of SKIMS, ensuring the seamless functioning of the institution despite facing severe manpower shortages. The challenge has been further exacerbated by the introduction of new departments, including the Cancer Institute, the upgradation of the Gynae Hospital, the expansion of the Emergency Burn Ward, and the Emergency Lab. It is critical to immediately process pending staff promotions to support these developments and maintain the institute’s healthcare excellence.
The Worthy Chief Secretary has already directed all sectional heads to expedite pending promotion cases on a fast-track basis. We earnestly request the authorities to implement these directives without further delay to acknowledge the dedication and hard work of these employees.
In addition to promotions, we also urge the immediate release of:
- Pending G.P. Fund bills, which are causing financial hardships for state employees.
- The 3% Dearness Allowance (DA) hike, which has been long awaited by state employees.
The Jammu & Kashmir Government Employees Conference and NGEWA SKIMS, under the leadership of Mr. Ishtiyaq Beigh, reaffirm their commitment to advocating for the welfare of all employees. We trust the esteemed authorities will take prompt and decisive action to address these pressing issues.
